Thyroids, radio, and CDs

Howdy friends/fans. Here's a grab bag of unrelated items...

(1) I'm saying goodbye tomorrow (Wed. March 25) to my thyroid gland. Prayers or general positive vibes appreciated. I'll be in the hospital overnight but if all goes well will be home by Thursday evening and enjoying some good drugs. I'm looking forward to watching some stupid TV and working puzzles for a few days but will be anxious to get back to working out and playing music as soon as I can.

(2) I've got some songs on JANGO internet radio now - if you could check it out, play a tune or two and give my songs a positive rating (assuming you like what you hear) that would be super....it would help get me more plays in regular rotation. If you are unfamiliar with Jango, please check it out -- it's a VERY COOL internet radio station where you can customize what you want to hear by creating your own "stations" of your choice of artist, genre, etc. You can find my songs at this link or click the JANGO logo at left:

(3) THANK YOU to those who attended the Likely Stories CD release show or have ordered a CD!! Likely Stories is a collaborative project with my pals Nancy Rost and Dave Schindele -- some duos, some trios, a mix of instrumentation (I played a good bit of cello!) with songs written by each of us. If you missed all that -- the CD is now available for sale online....click the CD image to get there or CLICK HERE. You can listen to audio samples there to see if it's your cup 'o tea. (More sales options and downloads through iTunes etc. coming soon!)

Peace,
Tracy

Hi Tracy,
I am assuming that your thyroid problem was Graves disease, even if it was not; you should be aware of the following in case you find an autoimmune disease showing up in your body. Did you know that thyroid disease is really a very rare disease and yet there is an epidemic (1 in 4 people) of it in America. The truth is that an autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto's or Graves disease probably (90%+) gave you your thyroid disease. Autoimmune diseases are very interesting, there are approx 80 to 100 at this time with another 40 waiting for a name. Medical science cannot explain why and has not found a cure for even one. You can trigger one of them just by having an auto accident, taking aspirin or medicine, by starting a new exercise routine, or even stressing out says latest research. Naturopathic medicine says, "Look for the root cause. The cause is in the basics; beginning with what is on your fork, what toxins are in your body, what exercise do you do, what stress is in your life, what is your spiritual base". Science has led us down the wrong path, we better stop and take a close look at what is happening. Every month an average of 150 new chemicals which are part of the autoimmune problem will be added too industry with no oversight control at all. In 2005, researchers from the Environmental Working Group found a cocktail of 287 pollutants -- pesticides, dioxins, flame retardants -- in the fetal-cord blood of newborn infants from around the country. Autoimmune disease is the worst kind of contradiction; for thyroid disease your immune system is attacking you at your own thyroid, a world upside down. God bless you in your search Tracy.

Thanks
Paul
